About Bambino
About us

Welcome to Bambino!

This is the place for everyone looking for smart, functional products for children’s mealtimes, or who is interested in recipes, tips and inspiration to help with children and food. Bambino’s core values are simplicity, function and everyday joy. With our smart, functional and colourful products, we aim to make mealtimes fun for you and your child, and to contribute to everyday joie de manger.

Bambino has been making life easier for children and parents since the 1960s. Our business is founded on authentic experience of children’s needs and well-being. Our product development takes place in Stockholm and is firmly based on your needs – and those of your child. We listen to and learn from you; after all, you know best what you need! One of the ways we do this is through our annual ‘Colors by You’ competition, where we give you, our customers, the chance to choose and then vote for new colours for our popular feeding spoons.

Our products are currently available in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The brand is owned by the Swedish company Bambino Mam AB, which in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Austrian firm MAM Babyartikel GesmbH.

Material

Materials we use
Bambino is keen to take responsibility and do its bit for society at large. Our values are all about adding fun to the lives of parents and children and we think all children deserve a good start in life.

Children’s bodies are not yet fully developed which makes them more sensitive to chemicals than adults.
Legislation and standards governing children’s products are more stringent for this reason. At Bambino it goes without saying that our products must comply with the requirements set by these laws and standards. Under each product we state the materials the particular product is made from and the standards that it complies with. All the materials we use are approved for use in children’s products. All our products are free from BPA and Phthalates.

Organic plastics
We are sometimes asked why we don’t use biogenic or recycled plastics in our products.

Biogenic plastic (material formed from living organisms) does not yet have the necessary heat resistance and is not uncrushable enough to comply with Bambino’s quality guidelines on hygiene and safety.

In the case of recycled plastic, it is not possible to guarantee that recycled plastic is pure enough to be used in our products. While it is not possible to document the different materials, component parts and degree of purity mixed in at the recycling plant, it is not possible to be certain that the recycled material is harmless from a health point of view. We do not want to manufacture products that will be used by children from this kind of plastic.

Recycle our products and packaging
Our products and packaging can and should be recycled! Plastic packaging can be thrown away with plastics recycling and paper can go for paper recycling. It is important to sort plastic and card separately.
The product or the product label show the materials that the respective product is made from. Our Soft Bib cotton bibs are sorted as combustible general waste while Wipe Off Bibs are sorted as soft plastic.

Returns

At Bambino we carry out quality control and inspections of our products and faulty products shouldn’t make it through these checks. In some rare cases, however, this might nevertheless have happened. This means it’s important to us that we are able to investigate if these things happen. If you have bought a faulty product, we would be really grateful if you could return it to us so we can analyse what has happened.

Which feeding teat should I choose?
There are three different teats for the 250 ml and 330 ml Bambino Bottles. Choose the teat depending on what you are feeding your baby.

Bambino Variable Flow
This teat has a cross-shaped opening. The flow varies depending on the thickness of the liquid and how strongly your baby is sucking. It’s designed for water, formula and milk cereal drinks.

Bambino Medium Flow
This teat has an opening that’s a hole. Designed for milk cereal drinks.

Bambino Fast Flow
This teat has an opening that’s a notch. Designed for wholegrain milk cereal drinks.

PVC, BPA or Phthalates – do your products contain these?
No, we don’t use PVC, BPA or the softeners Phthalates in our products or packaging.

How does the Bambino Squeezy Spoon work?
The spoon is screwed straight onto the baby food pouch. When you squeeze the pouch, the purée comes out onto the spoon. The spoon fits most of the baby food pouches on the market.

Why are the Bambino Starter Spoon & Fork angled?
The cutlery is ergonomically designed to make it easier for babies who want to learn how to feed themselves.
They are made for right-handed babies. Often babies use both hands equally. The cutlery need to be used with the spoon in the right hand and the fork in the left to work properly.

Terms
Shop & Pay

1. To be able to shop in Bambino’s webshop, you need to be resident in Sweden and be over the age of 18.

2. When you have found a product you want to buy, click “Put me in your basket” to put the product in your basket. Add additional products to your basket in the same way.

3. If you want to change the number of products you are buying or remove a product from your basket, click the green basket symbol in the top right-hand corner. You can change the contents of your basket there.

4. Once you have put all the products you want to buy in your basket, go to Checkout by clicking “Go to checkout” in your basket.

5. Read the Terms and conditions and click to show that you accept them.

6. Fill in your customer details and choose your payment method.

7. Tick the newsletters box if you want to receive news from Bambino.se (we will never pass your e-mail address on to a third party).

8. Check that all the details are correctly filled in and choose “Continue”. Then you’ll see an order summary where you can choose to go back if you want to change something or click “Confirm your order”.

9. When you confirm your order, your payment will be processed in line with the conditions for your selected payment method.

10. Once your payment has gone through, you will be sent an order confirmation to the e-mail address you gave us confirming that we have received your order.

11. You will receive another e-mail when the order is shipped and one when the parcel is ready for you to collect.

Delivery terms and conditions
All prices are shown inclusive of VAT. Deliveries are mainly via PostNord. We ship your goods the same day if you place your order before 12:00 on a weekday (not including public holidays). Bambino delivers within Sweden. Shipping costs are always shown as part of the total order amount. If you don’t collect your parcel, we charge a handling fee of SEK 250. Within Sweden, delivery takes approximately 3 working days.

Delivery status
Once your order has been received, you will always receive an order confirmation from us by e-mail. If you don’t receive an order confirmation, check your spam folder as it may have got trapped by your spam filter. If you have ordered a product or colour that is out of stock, we will contact you by e-mail to find out what you would prefer us to do.

Delayed delivery
If your delivery is delayed, we will contact you. As a customer you have the right to cancel your purchase in such circumstances. You do this by e-mailing us at bambinoshop@bambino-mam.se and telling us that you want to cancel your order. We will then repay the entire amount. The money will appear in your bank account after max 14 days.

Damaged in transit
If your parcel or any product is damaged when you receive it, please report this immediately to bambinoshop@bambino-mam.se . No part of the damaged product may be used. Also save all packaging and take a picture of what it looked like when you unpacked the parcel/product. Attach the picture when reporting the damage to bambinoshop@bambino-mam.se. Purchasing terms and conditions
The following purchasing terms and conditions apply to sales of children’s and baby products (below called Products) from Bambino-MAM AB, organisation registration number 556392-2318, (below called Bambino), unless otherwise agreed in writing between the respective customer (below called the Customer) and Bambino. When selling to consumers Bambino applies the mandatory rules imposed by appropriate legislation. Bambino’s internet shop (www.bambino.se) is called Bambino.se below.

Orders
The Products are ordered via the internet shop Bambino.se. Bambino does not enter into contracts with minors (under the age of 18). All pictorial information must be seen as illustrative, and cannot be guaranteed to reproduce the exact appearance and nature of the Product. In the event of inaccuracies in stating stock status Bambino retains the right to correct this subsequently. This means that if a Product in the Bambino range has sold out or for another reason cannot be obtained without unreasonable effort, Bambino is not obliged to provide such a Product despite the Customer having ordered it as above.

Delivery terms and conditions
At Bambino.se the stated price always includes VAT. Shipping costs will always be added to the order. Bambino delivers the Products in partnership with Posten. The delivery time is normally 1 to 3 working days depending on whether the Products are in stock at Bambino or whether they are ordered on request directly from the supplier’s warehouse. The current stock status of the Products is stated under each specific Product at Bambino.se.

Bambino does not divide orders into several shipments. When products that are not in stock are ordered, they will first have to be delivered to Bambino before the rest of the Customer’s order can be sent in the same shipment.

If the Customer chooses not to collect ordered Products, the Customer will be charged a handling fee of SEK 250.

If a delivery is delayed, the Customer will be notified by Bambino by e-mail or by phone. The Customer always has the right to cancel the order in the event of a delivery delay. Cancellation must be made in writing by e-mail to Bambino’s customer services. Bambino will repay the purchase amount no later than 14 days of having received cancellation in writing.

Bambino is liable for the risks involved in transport to the Customer, i.e. the risk of a Product being damaged or lost during transport to the Customer. The Customer is liable for the risks involved in returning the Product to Bambino, where applicable.

The Customer is responsible for reporting any damage during transport to Bambino using the returns form enclosed with the parcel within 14 days. The Customer is responsible for unwrapping and inspecting the condition of the Products as soon as possible after receiving them. In the event of damage during transport, the Customer may not use the Product and the Customer must retain the Product’s packaging so that the whole parcel and the Product can be inspected as part of the process of assessing the damage.

Prices and payments
The prices stated at Bambino.se are inclusive of VAT. Shipping costs are included in the total cost of the order.

Campaign offers on Products apply while stocks last, unless stated otherwise by Bambino.

Security of payments
Bambino guarantees that the payment options offered at Bambino.se are secure. Bambino provides secure card payment via DIBS and payment on receipt of invoice through Klarna.

Security and confidentiality
All handling of the Customer’s data is encrypted at the highest security level. In registering and placing an order, the Customer accepts Bambino storing and using the Customer’s data to complete its undertakings towards the Customer. Personal data is transferred in encrypted form via SSL. Passwords stated by the Customer are stored in encrypted form. Bambino documents certain communications that Bambino has with the Customer by phone or e-mail in order to provide the service that the Customer expects from Bambino.

Bambino will not pass on the Customer’s personal data to a third party. Under the Personal Data Act (PUL) the Customer has the right to see the information that the company has registered. If this information is incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant, the Customer can request that the information is corrected or deleted.

Right to cancel
The Customer always has 14 days’ right to cancel under the Distance and Door-to-Door Sales Act. The right to cancel only applies if the Product is in an essentially unchanged condition. The time limit starts to run from the date on which the Customer received the Product. Bambino will repay the purchase amount no later than 14 days after the returned Product has been received by Bambino. The Customer is responsible for the postage costs of returns. The shipping cost is deducted from the repayment of the purchase amount.

The Customer must return the cancelled Product in the original pack with associated packaging. The Customer is responsible for the risks associated with the return shipment, the risk includes the possibility of the Product being damaged or lost in transit.

Where the right to cancel is exercised, Bambino’s own shipping documents must be used. The Customer receives a returns slip with the delivery (also available here or can contact bambinoshop@bambino-mam.se to obtain one.

The Customer must fill in Bambino’s returns slip stating name, customer number, bank and account number including sort code.

Guarantee and right to make a complaint
Bambino sells all its Products with a 3 year right to make a complaint under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act.

The product guarantee only covers original manufacturing faults, i.e. faults present in the Product on delivery. Manufacturing faults must be identified by Bambino, after which the Customer’s Product will be repaired free of charge or the Customer will be given a new Product. The product guarantee does not apply if Bambino is unable to find any fault in the Product or where the Customer has caused the damage him or herself. The product guarantee does not apply to handling faults, incorrectly installed products or faults arising after changes made to the Product’s function or appearance by the Customer, e.g. rebuilding, upgrading or other configuration of the Product.

The Customer’s invoice or receipt is valid as evidence of the guarantee.

14 days’ right to return – in unopened packaging
Bambino gives the Customer 14 days’ right to return the Product in unopened packaging. The Product’s packaging may not be damaged or destroyed in any way. If the Products does not have separate packaging and was delivered loose in a parcel, the Customer must not have used the Product in any way. All markings, stickers, labels, etc. must remain on the Product. The Product must be returned in an essentially unchanged condition.

When exercising this right to return Products, Bambino’s own returns slip must be used. It is enclosed with the delivery and is also available here .

Returns (shipping document) and service issues
Regarding returns, service and guarantee issues, the Customer must contact Bambino’s consumer contact by e-mail: konsumentkontakt@bambino-mam.se.

In the case of returns, Bambino’s own shipping documents must be used. The customer can obtain shipping documents by contacting Bambino’s consumer contact. Bambino cannot reimburse the shipping costs if a Customer has returned the product independently, without having first contacted Bambino’s consumer contact.

Service issues in the event of any faults, damage and similar for which Bambino is not responsible, must be paid for by the Customer, in line with the rules of the Consumer Sales Act or the Sale of Goods Act.

In the event of returns, the Customer must send the Products to Bambino at the address Bambino Mam AB, Box 1144, 111 81 Stockholm. The Customer must always contact Bambino’s consumer contact to obtain shipping documents.

Return policy & Returns

Returning a product to Bambino
Swedish law applies to these purchase terms and conditions. In the event of disputes, Bambino complies with the recommendations of the National Board for Consumer Disputes.

Right to cancel & returns
At Bambino we naturally hope you are happy with your new products. However, you always have the right to return one or more products within 14 days of receiving your parcel. The products must be unused and in unopened, original packaging. All labels must remain in place. You pay the postage for shipping the products back to Bambino. Make sure you package the product well so that it is not damaged.

If you paid by card, the amount you paid will be refunded to the bank account linked to the card. If you paid by invoice via Klarna, you need to calculate the new amount and pay that to Klarna. In other words, you will not be sent a corrected invoice from Klarna and the due date will remain the date stated on the original invoice which came with your parcel. Please contact us at bambinoshop@bambino-mam.se if you aren’t sure how much to pay. Remember to always pay the shipping costs even if you are returning all the goods.
